Cumberland Spring Component

Cumberland

The Cumberland Spring was assessed to see if it could be tied into the water system as a back-up water source. It was utilized for this purpose in the past, but currently there is no infrastructure in place.

Heavy rains for several days created a huge  mudslide on February 12, 2017 that washed away most of the vegetation around the Cumberland spring.

As part of the planning project, water quality testing was done with good water quality results for drinking water, but due to slope stability issues and seasonal water quantity issues, it was decided to NOT include the Cumberland Spring in the future contsruction project.
